Most US uniforms were green with little khaki equipment, here is a good example Attachments:

Except for those black boots, but all ww2 equiptment, early and late are easily accepted.

It all depends on your team. A minor detail like that is no big deal if you have the canvas leggings to wear over them over them.

Officially, the Army was wearing brown "paratrooper boots" by 1950, although there may have been some 2-buckle boots still around. Black boots first appeared in 1958-59. Only the USMC was still wearing canvas leggings, and they got away from them about 1952.
I noticed in your photo you show the M-28 WWII backpack. By 1950, those had been replaced with the M-1945 backpack and suspenders.

My Grandfather wore a M1943 Winter Paratrooper Set, a M1C Helmet, a M1943 Cartridge Belt, a pair of brown paratrooper boots, and took along his M1 Garand...he was 82nd Airborne
